About the position

We are seeking a nurturing and experienced Daycare Teacher to join our team and provide a safe, engaging, and educational environment for our young students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childhood development and the ability to create a warm and welcoming classroom setting. This role is perfect for those who enjoy working with children, are skilled in behavior management, and are dedicated to providing high-quality childcare.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with engaging and educational activities that cater to the unique needs and abilities of our students, from infancy to preschool age.
  • Implement lesson plans that align with our curriculum and ensure that all children receive a comprehensive education.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked classroom environment that promotes safety and learning.
  • Foster a positive and supportive classroom culture that encourages socialization, communication, and teamwork among students.
  • Provide individualized attention to each child, addressing their unique needs and interests.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement and redirection techniques to minimize disruptions and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, staff members, and parents to ensure that our educational programs meet the highest standards.
  • Document and track student progress, identifying areas of strength and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all relevant child protection policies and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of childhood development and the needs of children from infancy to preschool age.
  • Ability to plan and lead educational activities that meet the needs of all students.
  • Experience in childcare, including infant care, toddler care, and preschool education.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Experience in special education or working with children who have special needs.
  • Ability to educate and engage children in various subjects, including literacy, math, science, and social studies.
  • Knowledge of behavior management strategies and the ability to apply these strategies effectively in a classroom setting.
  • Experience as a nanny or in a similar childcare role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
