Leaps N Bounds Childcare is seeking a full-time Infant/Toddler/Preschool Teacher who is passionate about making a difference in children's lives. Responsibilities
- Maintain teacher-to-student ratio
- Collaborate to prepare and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily schedule
- Interact affectionately and respectfully with children
- Create authentic, caring relationships with children and families through communication
- Ensure a healthy learning space through cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Adapt to a continuously changing, fast-paced environment
- Assist the co-teacher in classroom procedures
- Adhere to procedures and regulations of Texas Minimum Standards, Texas Rising Star, and DFPS
- Attend staff trainings outside of work hours
- Complete necessary classroom report(s)
- Accept any other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Clear FBI Criminal Background Check
- Regular lifting of children, up to 40 lbs
- Excitement to teach young children
Nice-to-haves
- Child Development Associate Certification
- Special Education Certification
- 1 year of childcare experience (Preferred)
