About the position

Steamboat Station is seeking full-time Infant/Toddler/Preschool Teachers to join their licensed childcare center team. The role involves teaching and supervising children aged 0-5 years, planning age-appropriate activities, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. The position requires effective communication with parents and co-workers, as well as providing for the basic needs of the children in care.

Responsibilities

• Teaching and supervising children from age 0-5 years
• Planning age-appropriate activities aligned with Texas Pre-K guidelines
• Adhering to Health and Human Service standards and guidelines
• Performing cleaning duties at the close of the shift
• Communicating effectively with parents and co-workers
• Providing for the basic needs of the children in care

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
• Supervising experience
• First Aid Certification
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to contribute to a safe academic culture
• Patience and a nurturing personality

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in childcare (preferred but not required)
