About the position

Small Size Big Mind Preschool is seeking passionate and dedicated Infant, Toddler, or Preschool Teachers to join our expanding team across three beautiful campuses in Alameda. Our preschool is designed to provide a unique and joyful early learning experience for children, and we are committed to creating an environment where teachers can thrive. We believe in minimizing administrative distractions, allowing our educators to focus on what they do best: teaching young children. As a teacher at Small Size Big Mind, you will be responsible for educating young learners in a supportive and compassionate manner. You will work collaboratively with a team to create a safe and stimulating environment, and you will be open to guidance from lead teachers and the school director. We are looking for individuals who can bring creativity to our curriculum and communicate professionally with colleagues, supervisors, and parents. The ideal candidate will have completed all 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) core classes and possess a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. Experience in teaching STEM and STEAM in a hands-on and creative way is highly desirable. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead curriculum development and work closely with co-teachers and students in a positive and educational environment. You will receive support from an onsite director and collaborate with other dedicated staff members. Responsibilities

  • Educate young learners in a supportive and compassionate manner.
  • Work cooperatively with a team to create a safe and stimulating environment.
  • Be open and receptive to guidance from lead teachers and the school director.
  • Add creativity to the improvement process within the school's policies and procedures.
  • Communicate professionally and empathetically with supervisors, colleagues, and parents.
  • Lead the curriculum and support co-teachers and students in a positive educational environment.

Requirements

  • Completed all 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) core classes.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Proven successful work experience in early childhood education.
  • Ability to pass a thorough early childhood education criminal background check and health screening.
  • Possess traits of loyalty, dedication, and consistency.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience teaching STEM and STEAM in a hands-on and creative way.
  • Previous experience as a lead teacher or head teacher.
