About the position

As an Infant Toddler Teacher at Primrose School of Evergreen, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers aged six weeks to 24 months. This position involves implementing a captivating curriculum that includes music, puppetry, and storytelling, allowing children to explore and discover their world. You will work closely with a dedicated education coach and a supportive team to ensure the developmental needs of each child are met while fostering a love for learning.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and manages daily functions for a class of children.
  • Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Provides an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making by the children.
  • Ensures that all class bulletin boards are current and provides parents with an overview of the material taught in class.
  • Assists and coordinates snacks, meals, naptime, and bathroom activities.
  • Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas, and playgrounds.
  • Observes all rules and regulations about the health, safety, and care of children.
  • Maintains a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior at all times.
  • Plans with Education Coach and implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule using the Primrose School curriculum outlines and materials.
  • Plans with the Director all required parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have patience and a strong desire to love and nurture young children.
  • Must have 12 core Early Childhood Education units with a grade of C or better, including 3 units in Infant/Toddler.
  • Work experience in a licensed childcare facility preferred.
  • Must meet required state background check.
  • Able to work on iPad to log children's daily activities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a licensed childcare facility is preferred.
