About the position

As an Infant/Toddler Teacher at Mary's Learning Academy, you will play a crucial role in the development and care of young children. Your primary responsibility will be to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate fun and interactive learning experiences, utilizing our established curriculum. You will be expected to provide daily care for each child, ensuring that all licensing guidelines and company standards are met. This includes conducting observations and assessments to monitor each child's progress and development. Communication is key in this role, as you will be required to interact directly with parents and prospective parents to foster a supportive environment for the children. You will supervise the classroom, maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating atmosphere that encourages learning and exploration. Attendance at all staff training sessions, meetings, and programs sponsored by the Center is mandatory, as is the completion of professional development requirements recommended by Keystone Stars and the Department of Human Services (DHS). In addition to educational responsibilities, you will assist with meal and snack preparation, feeding children, and modeling appropriate table manners during family-style meals. Other related duties may be assigned by the Program Coordinator or Center Director as needed. This position is full-time, requiring an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday, and is located in-person at our facility in Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities

  • Create lesson plans with fun and interactive learning experiences using the curriculum.
  • Provide daily care for every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing company standards.

  • Perform other related duties as requested by the Program Coordinator or Center Director.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
  • 2 years of experience in Early Childhood Education (Preferred).
  • 2 years of experience in Childcare (Preferred).
