About the position
The Infection Control Nurse is responsible for implementing infection control measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases within a healthcare facility. This role involves conducting patient observations, managing infection data, and collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols.
Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain accurate data related to infection rates, patient outcomes, and compliance with protocols.
- Utilize knowledge of epidemiology and medical terminology to assess and address infection control issues effectively.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and best practices in infection prevention.
- Stay updated on current guidelines and best practices in infection control to continuously improve patient care.
Requirements
- Must be a Licensed Nurse (RN/LPN)
- Completion of basic training program for infection prevention
- Certification of infection prevention required
