About The Position

The Infection Control Quality Data Analyst plays a crucial role in managing and analyzing infection prevention and control data for both outpatient and inpatient settings. This position supports clinical and administrative staff in identifying opportunities for clinical improvement and enhancing patient outcomes while ensuring compliance with national reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Skills in analyzing databases and preparing reports are essential.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including clear articulation of ideas and proper grammar.
  • Attention to detail and follow-up are crucial.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all Infection Prevention and Control Data for the organization.
  • Upload data to the national NHSN/CDC and other regulatory agencies.
  • Assist clinicians and administrators in identifying clinical and service improvement opportunities.
  • Educate and train the IC department and physicians on changes in NHSN definitions and requirements.
  • Ensure timely payment of contracts and billing with supporting documentation.
  • Keep IC staff, epidemiologists, and nursing units informed about changes in NHSN definitions and requirements.
