The Infection Prevention Data Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the health system's quality improvement and organizational performance initiatives through effective data management. This position involves collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to ensure optimal quality metrics align with the system's goals and mission.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates quality improvement and organizational performance initiatives, including team meetings and activities.
  • Develops and maintains customized databases that support departmental programs, functions, and projects.
  • Collects, maintains, and analyzes data obtained from various resources.
  • Investigates variances and participates in root cause analysis, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Develops, generates, and distributes statistical reports and findings for presentation to key stakeholders.
  • Reviews electronic medical records, abstracting clinical data as mandated by regulatory agencies.
  • Uses verified data to support requests from physicians and team members and other quality indicator scorecards.
  • Serves as a liaison for computer support issues and maintains the infection prevention intranet page.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or healthcare related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience, preferably in data management or analytics.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and other applicable applications.
  • Strong presentation and delivery skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, statistical, and teamwork skills.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be detail-oriented.
  • Ability to create and maintain databases in various programs.
