About The Position

The Infection Preventionist Control at AdventHealth Tampa is responsible for overseeing the facility-wide program focused on the surveillance, prevention, and control of infections. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, or a related field.
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred or required within a specified timeframe.
• Experience in infection control or a related healthcare field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Public Health or a related field.
• Experience in a healthcare setting with a focus on infection prevention.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to infection control.

Responsibilities

• Administer the facility-wide infection prevention and control program.
• Conduct surveillance of infection rates and trends.
• Develop and implement infection prevention policies and procedures.
• Educate staff and patients on infection prevention practices.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure compliance with infection control standards.
