About the position

The Senior Lead, Influencer Comms at Rivian will spearhead the strategy and execution of influencer engagement initiatives, both earned and paid. This role is pivotal in driving influencers to amplify the key narratives and values of the Rivian brand. The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Product Communications and the Director of Consumer Product Communications to ensure that influencer content aligns with Rivian's mission and brand identity. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of the influencer landscape across various social platforms, as well as the ability to navigate trending cultural conversations. In this role, the Senior Manager will be responsible for maintaining Rivian's high standards of creative output while fostering the creation of authentic influencer content. They will define and establish a playbook and scalable workflow for engaging with influencers, ensuring that these efforts ladder up to overall communications strategies and key narratives. The Senior Manager will also oversee the day-to-day operations with an influencer agency, managing budgets for content creation and ensuring that contract negotiations with influencers are conducted effectively to meet the company's goals. Additionally, the Senior Manager will spearhead metrics and data analysis on content performance to ensure alignment with business objectives. Building strategic relationships with social influencers and influencer agency partners will be crucial for producing both organic and paid content that resonates with Rivian's audience. This role demands a creative thinker who can quickly assess opportunities and challenges, innovate, and work collaboratively across various teams, including Communications, Content, Integrated Marketing, and Growth Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Rivian's high integrity of creative output while driving the creation of authentic influencer content.
  • Define and establish a playbook and scalable workflow for engaging with influencers that aligns with overall communications strategies and key narratives.
  • Lead the day-to-day work with an influencer agency to execute campaigns and manage budgets for content creation.
  • Oversee contract negotiations with influencers alongside an agency to ensure agreements meet our goals.
  • Spearhead metrics and data analysis on content performance to meet business objectives.
  • Identify and build strategic relationships with social influencers and influencer agency partners to produce both organic and paid content.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience in influencer campaign work, with a proven track record of driving business results.
  • Experience using analytics tools and delivering data-driven insights.
  • Ability to set long-term strategy, clear goals, and KPIs.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media and influencer marketing platforms, tactics, agencies, and talent.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Creative thinker, with the ability to quickly assess opportunities and challenges, and the ability to innovate.
