About the position

As a Manager in the Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Forensics team at PwC, you will play a crucial role in addressing clients' critical business and data protection challenges. This position involves leading strategic programs, data analytics, and technical implementation activities to enhance clients' information governance and mitigate information risks. You will work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals to develop and implement effective governance controls, ensuring that clients can navigate complex legal and business processes related to data management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects related to data governance strategy and implementation.
  • Develop and assess data governance architecture and practices.
  • Coach team members and encourage their professional development.
  • Analyze complex ideas and build meaningful recommendations for clients.
  • Manage client relationships and address their needs effectively.
  • Oversee project planning, budget management, and successful completion of engagement work streams.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to write and present proposals to prospective clients.
  • Ensure compliance with the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance or related areas.
  • Preferred certifications: EDM Council DCAM Certified Assessor, Data Governance & Stewardship Professional (DGSP), DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
  • Extensive experience managing data governance projects and defining strategies.
  • Knowledge of data governance enterprise platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica).
  • Experience with data analysis and enterprise metadata management.
  • Understanding of data privacy and protection regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data lineage and data flow inventory solutions.
  • Background in DCAM or related data governance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with data discovery tools (e.g., BigID, OneTrust).
  • Proficiency in SQL and data modeling in various RDBMS platforms.
  • Hands-on experience in Data Warehousing and ETL optimizations.
