Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in managing vast amounts of electronic data and navigating legal and business processes related to critical events.
  • Implement governance controls to mitigate information risk and maximize exploitation of information assets.
  • Lead Data Governance projects to define strategy and roadmap, operating model, policies/standards, and tool design and process documents.
  • Manage teams implementing Data Governance tools in complex business environments, through requirements gathering, building, testing, and production roll-out.
  • Contribute to project planning, engagement administration, budget management, and successful completion of engagement work streams.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to write and present proposals to prospective clients.
  • Demonstrate experience with data privacy, data protection, and regulatory aspects of data governance.
  • Lead evaluation of new solutions and services, providing a business case for developing skills and vendor relations within new Data Governance solutions and technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data governance or related fields.
  • EDM Council DCAM Certified Assessor, Data Governance & Stewardship Professional (DGSP), or DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of Data Governance strategy, architecture, and practices.
  • Experience with major data governance enterprise platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica).
  • Knowledge of data analysis and enterprise metadata management, especially in Privacy and Data Lifecycle use cases.
  • Experience implementing structured data archiving and data lifecycle management activities.
  • Proven background in DCAM or related data governance frameworks.
  • Experience with data modeling in SQL Server and Oracle environments.
  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries across various RDBMS platforms.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with privacy, protection, and information governance data discovery tools (e.g., BigID, OneTrust, Microsoft).
  • Ability to code using HTML, JavaScript, Python, CSS, XML, Linux.
  • Hands-on experience in Data Warehousing, specializing in ETL optimizations using Informatica Power Center.
