About the position

The Junior to Mid-Level Project Manager (Information Security Focus) is responsible for managing project backlogs, creating insightful status updates, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role emphasizes project management within the information security domain, requiring proficiency in project management tools, Excel, and PowerPoint. The position is ideally suited for candidates based in Southern Florida, with remote work considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage project backlogs, ensuring tasks are prioritized, tracked, and aligned with strategic goals.
• Develop comprehensive status reports and points of view (POV) that reflect project progress, roadblocks, and recommendations.
• Partner with various teams, including technical and business stakeholders, to drive projects to completion.
• Utilize Excel and PowerBI to analyze data and track project metrics; create professional PowerPoint presentations for stakeholder reviews.
• Work with operational reports, collaborate with penetration testers, and ensure projects adhere to information security standards and vocabulary.

Requirements

• Proven experience in project management with a focus on backlog management and reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) and PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business teams.
• Exposure to information security concepts and comfort with InfoSec terminology.
• Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor.

Nice-to-haves

• Based in Southern Florida.
• Experience working with operational reports and information security projects is highly desirable.
• Cruise Industry experience is a plus.
