About the position

The Senior Change Delivery Specialist at Truist is responsible for leading the Functional Technology Business Office, overseeing multiple enterprise-wide projects and programs. This role involves strategic thought leadership, organizational design, and execution of large-scale change initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and optimizing the project portfolio. The specialist will also manage financial realization measures and evaluate investment opportunities to support the overall program needs.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee financial management, organizational planning and design, and coordination of Technology programs.
  • Develop program design, plan, metrics, and execution strategy in collaboration with LOB/function managers and subject matter experts.
  • Manage relationships with business owners and technology leads to support program needs.
  • Ensure program activities are on track to deliver benefits realization.
  • Implement and oversee risk management plans for initiatives.
  • Monitor and challenge performance of current systems and processes, advocating for solutions to deliver value and mitigate risk.
  • Vets new solutions and escalates larger issues to upper management as necessary.
  • Analyze and manage variances to the program plan and overall portfolio, creating action plans to mitigate negative variances.
  • Articulate overall performance of multiple programs via dashboard reporting for executives.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in IT, Computer Science, MIS, Economics, Finance, or Operations Management.
  • 10+ years of experience in consulting, project management, or process improvement.
  • Advanced understanding of project management frameworks and ability to implement large-scale initiatives.
  • Superior understanding of business and technology organization, resources, priorities, needs, and policies.
  • Advanced understanding of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).
  • Knowledge of holistic banking/investment platforms, products, services, operations, finance, and systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and facilitate difficult conversations with leadership.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, devise solutions, and make decisions under pressure.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA).
  • PMP and/or PgMP certification.
  • Experience in enterprise technology organizational leadership.
  • Financial services technology experience.
  • Experience implementing large/complex initiatives across a matrix organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of management and planning systems theory and practical application.
  • Experience with financial measurements and metrics.
