About the position

The Info Security Specialist III position at DivIHN is a remote role focused on managing user access requests, resolving security-related issues, and documenting information security processes. The specialist will work closely with internal customers to develop solutions impacting security and stay updated on industry trends. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Validates, authorizes, and implements requests for user access adds, changes, and deletes.
• Works with internal customers to identify and resolve special requests for nonstandard or urgent access.
• Identifies resource requirements and sets completion targets in collaboration with internal customers.
• Develops solutions impacting security, including server moves, cleanups, and system changes.
• Documents information security processes.
• Works on special projects such as new designs and system rollouts.
• Stays up to date on trends and developments within the functional area of expertise and the insurance industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Typically a minimum of four years experience in security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software communications, and network protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of NT, Novell, mainframe, ACF/2, UNIX, Windows 2000, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous help desk experience desirable.
• Applicable certifications preferred.
