About the position

The Info Security Specialist (Python Developer) at PepsiCo is responsible for guiding information security risk management within the Corporate and Global Function. This role focuses on vulnerability analysis, risk monitoring, and enhancing data protection activities while embedding security into business solutions. The specialist will work closely with various teams to automate security operations and develop robust security tools using Python, ensuring compliance with security best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Incident Response and Security Operations teams to address complex challenges and automate repetitive processes.
  • Streamline Security Operations processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce key metrics such as MTTR and MTTD.
  • Utilize data analytics to improve security alert management and proactively mitigate risks.
  • Write, maintain, and improve automation scripts and tools in Python for DevSecOps workflows.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible for secure environments.
  • Integrate security tools and practices into the DevOps pipeline for end-to-end security.
  • Design secure, scalable application architectures in collaboration with development teams.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines with a focus on security, ensuring reliable code delivery.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Security Engineering, or Software Development.
  • Proven expertise in Python programming and large-scale system design.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud security best practices.
  • Solid understanding of security principles, cryptography, and authentication protocols.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and security automation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with modern security frameworks and compliance requirements.
