About the position

The position involves performing complex analysis, design, development, testing, and support services for assigned applications. The individual will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day tracking and follow-up on issues and questions related to daily operations. Participation in and oversight of applications analysis and impact analysis of new or different applications, processes, or changes is also required. The role includes providing advanced application support and guidance to end users, as well as technical guidance to less experienced personnel. The individual will serve as a point of contact for application problems, assess issues, and identify resolutions. Additionally, the position requires the development of testing scripts and participation in testing activities. Recommendations regarding various development and support initiatives will be made with some guidance, and the individual will prepare written documentation of various types, including application documentation, analytical reports, functional specifications, training manuals, and status reports. This is a hybrid position that requires traveling to various UMMS Member Organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day tracking and follow-up on issues and questions of daily operations.
  • Participate in and oversee applications analysis and impact analysis of new or different applications, processes, or changes.
  • Provide advanced application support and guidance to end users and technical guidance to less experienced personnel.
  • Serve as a point of contact for application problems, assess problems, and identify resolutions.
  • Develop testing scripts and participate in testing activities.
  • Make recommendations and provide alternatives regarding various development and support initiatives.
  • Prepare written documentation including application documentation, analytical reports, functional specifications, training manuals, and status reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a health, science, or business field, or equivalent professional experience required.
  • Three years progressively responsible experience in information applications, including one year performing programming or applications analysis or equivalent, such as business analysis, is required.
  • Experience as a provider, clinician, or ancillary services in the implementation of a system as a subject matter expert or super user may be substituted.
  • Demonstrates competence in analysis and problem-solving principles with emphasis on user relations, data gathering techniques, and management information applications.
  • Demonstrates ability to develop technical specifications for all aspects of applications, and familiarity with problem analysis, hardware/software configurations, and application integration.
