About the position

The Informatica Data Quality Engineer at Sentara is responsible for ensuring the integrity and quality of data sets used in internal systems and for delivery from these systems. This role involves both automated and manual testing, working closely with data engineers and product managers to develop testing strategies and maintain quality assurance processes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Writing testing plans and routines, managing the continuous integration and regression testing processes.
• Acting as the point of contact for clearing data for release according to delivery specifications.
• Functioning effectively in a high-volume, rapid delivery environment to ensure publicly available data meets security and accessibility specifications.
• Collaborating with product managers and development leads to create testing, data profiling, and validation strategies.
• Working with data engineers to develop automated tests.
• Designing, monitoring, and maintaining QA reports, KPIs, and quality trends for internal data systems.
• Creating test plans and test cases.
• Executing and automating test cases and performing bug tracking.
• Helping create and implement quality processes and requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) experience required.
• QA automation experience required.
• Knowledgeable about industry data compliance strategies and practices, such as continuous integration, regression testing, and versioning.
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or Information Systems or relevant experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to read/write SQL queries is a plus.
• Experience working in an Azure data environment, dealing with large diverse data sets.
• Experience with Python is a plus.
