About the position

The Informatica ETL Developer position is a contract role focused on the design, development, and implementation of data integration solutions using Informatica tools. The developer will work closely with the Data Engineering Team to automate ETL processes, acquire data from various sources, and enhance data visualization capabilities. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience in agile methodologies, with responsibilities spanning from requirements analysis to deployment and support of the data integration hub.

Responsibilities

• Understand business objectives and problems, identify alternative solutions, and perform studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives.
• Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer systems.
• Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
• Review computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine feasibility of requested programs or changes.
• Implement and configure the infrastructure for the data integration hub.
• Design, develop, and implement the data integration hub using agile methodology for all standard SDLC phases.
• Validate performance metric requirements and create Epics/User Stories/Tasks.
• Automate data acquisition from various data sources and develop complex SQL scripts.
• Conduct testing including integration, load, and stress tests.
• Deploy and publish solutions internally and externally.
• Provide operations support and enhancement of the data integration hub.
• Collaborate with the Data Engineering Team on optimal data design and implementation strategies.
• Develop automated means of performing verification and validation of SQL scripts and database views.
• Participate in all sprint ceremonies and work closely with Architects and Data Engineering Team.

Requirements

• 8 years of experience developing mappings and workflows to automate ETL processes using Informatica IICS, IDMC, or Power Center.
• 8 years of experience acquiring and integrating data from multiple data sources using Informatica for Tableau data visualization.
• 8 years of experience designing and developing complex SQL scripts that are fast and efficient.
• 8 years of strong analytical and problem-solving skills as a system analyst for data analytics or data warehousing projects.
• 8 years of technical writing and diagramming skills, including proficiency with modeling tools like Visio and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• 8 years of experience in planning and delivering software platforms across multiple products and organizational units.
• 8 years of experience designing and developing scripts using Python.
• 8 years of experience on an agile sprint team.
• 8 years of experience with JIRA software.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to write well-designed, testable, efficient code using best software development practices.
• Understanding of security principles as they apply to healthcare data.
• Experience with state-of-the-art software components for performance metrics data visualization or business intelligence.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience in the Healthcare Industry.
• Prior experience with an HHS agency.
• Prior experience working with PII or PHI data.
• Expertise in web applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and APIs.
• Prior experience creating website/user interfaces using standard HTML/CSS practices.
• Functional knowledge or hands-on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc.).
• Experience developing dashboards and reports using Tableau.
