About the position

NFF, Inc. is seeking a Junior Information Assurance Security Specialist to monitor IT operations and maintain an IT Asset Management (ITAM) infrastructure for a DC-based customer. The role involves providing technical support, managing incidents, and ensuring the security and efficiency of IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for incoming requests via telephone, web portal, and email to ensure courteous, timely, and effective resolution of end-user issues.
• Provisioning and system setup for new hires.
• Prioritize incidents and service requests according to defined processes to meet defined SLAs.
• Use remote tools and diagnostic utilities to aid in resolving support requests.
• Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level when remote tools are not appropriate, including hardware repairs and delivery of peripherals.
• Installing and configuring hardware and software components throughout various network infrastructure devices.
• Install antivirus software and ensure virus definitions are up to date.
• Server administration via Active Directory, File & Print services, DNS, DHCP.
• Network firewall and switch administration and maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals.
• Establish good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
• Ensuring company safety and security standards are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience (5 years).
• CompTIA Network+ and/or CompTIA Security+ certifications preferred.
• 5 years' experience in Technical Support.
• 5 years' experience with Active Directory and networks.
• Kaseya experience.
• Microsoft Desktop Certification.
• Valid Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM) systems.
• Knowledge of network security protocols.
