About the position

The Information Cloud Data Security Risk Analyst position at a prestigious enterprise company involves a multifaceted role focused on data security and risk management within cloud environments. The analyst will be responsible for gathering and interpreting data, documenting business requirements, and defining processes to standardize data and operations. This role requires a keen ability to resolve discrepancies in transactions, data, and processes, while also identifying opportunities for automation and streamlining operations. The analyst will create business requirements documents and develop functional specifications that guide the technical solutions implemented by developers. In this role, the analyst will leverage hands-on experience with various data protection technologies, including encryption, cloud security, insider threat management, data loss prevention, and database activity monitoring. A strong understanding of technology environments, such as telecommunications, networks, security, and server administration, is essential. The analyst will work closely with management and other teams to achieve business goals, establish new data gathering techniques, and formulate procedural manuals for various departments. The position also involves tracking and reconciling data, supporting specific IT processes like vendor and asset management, and defining key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business value. The analyst will collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to prioritize activities based on business value and urgency, develop consultative partnerships, and support communications and meetings to mitigate risks and resolve conflicts. Additionally, the analyst will lead the education and training of end users to enhance proficiency and adoption of implemented solutions, while serving as a liaison across teams to communicate systems and procedural changes effectively.

  • Support communications, meetings, and other collaborations as appropriate to effectively perform work and to understand, resolve, and/or mitigate risks, obstacles, and conflicts in the performance of functional activities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance overall delivery of reporting across the business units and within the department
  • Establish and collect KPI to measure business value delivered by projects and solutions
  • Implement process to build budgets from the bottom up (annual and ongoing)
  • Analyze and interpret information for planning and control purposes
  • Present to leadership recommendations on opportunities
  • Act as a resource for business and ETP unit segments relative to planning, analysis and budgeting, new product/services development and implementation, workflow analysis and costing information to evaluate and ensure competitiveness
  • Lead the education and training of end users, working to increase end user proficiency and adoption of implemented solutions
  • Understand, communicate, and reinforce standard process concepts and methodology within the ETP organization
