About the position

The Information Review & Release Analyst position at Cornerstone Defense in Herndon, VA, is a full-time role that requires an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph. This position is designed to support a dynamic customer within the Intelligence Community in a fast-paced environment. The primary responsibility of the analyst will be to manage a variety of cases, focusing on the review and thorough research of documents in accordance with Executive Order (EO) 13526, the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and the Privacy Act (PA). As a case manager and reviewer, the selected candidate will handle various case types, including FOIA requests, litigation, and appeals. This involves formulating responses to requesters and collaborating with a dynamic team that may provide additional information relevant to the requests. The analyst will be responsible for creating response letters, requests for information (RFI) letters, and initial response letters, as well as researching prior requests. Collaboration with other government agency counterparts is essential before finalizing responses and release decisions. The ideal candidate must possess strong critical-thinking skills to evaluate each unique case effectively. Experience with customer proprietary systems and tools that assist in the review and release process is crucial. Given the complexity of many requests, the ability to manage time effectively and collaborate with team members is a must. The analyst is expected to consistently deliver high-quality, accurate work and be open to performing ad hoc duties as needed. Additionally, the role allows for creative input in identifying process improvement ideas, making it a dynamic and engaging position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an array of cases related to FOIA, Litigation, and Appeals.
  • Review and thoroughly research the content of documents according to EO 13526, FOIA, and PA.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience specific to the role.
  • Associates, Bachelor, or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field equivalent to 2, 3, or 5 years of experience respectively.

  • Robust communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of FOIA, PA, and EO Mandatory Declassification Review programs.
