About the position

The Information Risk and Security Intern at Daiichi Sankyo will support various projects within IT Risk & Security Governance. This part-time internship, requiring approximately 20 hours per week, offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in analyzing data sets, responding to security alerts, and collaborating with IT staff to manage incidents effectively.

Responsibilities

• Review alerts to determine impact to systems and employees and perform response tasks
• Perform analysis of a variety of data sets to investigate potentially malicious activity
• Review threat material to determine impact and actions
• Work closely with IT staff to work active incidents through to closure
• Review daily reports of phishing emails/locked accounts/potentially malicious activity

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program (Junior or Senior)
• Strong background in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields
• Ability to plan, organize, and communicate effectively
• Results-driven with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with IT team and cross-functional business leaders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management skills
