About the position

The IT Intern position at Daiichi Sankyo Group is a part-time role designed for undergraduate students, specifically Juniors or Seniors, to gain hands-on experience in IT Risk & Security Governance. The intern will work approximately 20 hours per week from June 2025 to May 2026, supporting various projects and collaborating with IT staff to enhance security measures and respond to potential threats.

Responsibilities

• Review alerts to determine impact to systems and employees and perform response tasks
• Perform analysis of a variety of data sets to investigate potentially malicious activity
• Review threat material to determine impact and actions
• Work closely with IT staff to work active incidents through to closure
• Review daily reports of phishing emails/locked accounts/potentially malicious activity

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program (Junior or Senior)
• Strong background in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields
• Ability to plan, organize, and communicate effectively
• Results-driven with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with IT team and cross-functional business leaders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management skills
