About the position

The Information Security Analyst 4 at PayPal is responsible for establishing and operationalizing an optimized technology and information security Issue Management program. This role involves identifying, documenting, and driving the remediation of technology and information security issues while collaborating with various business units and technology partners. The analyst will develop metrics and reporting capabilities to track issues and advise IT and business executives on the status of current security issues. This position allows for telecommuting and is part of a balanced hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in establishing and operationalizing an optimized technology and information security Issue Management program.
  • Identify, document, and drive remediation of technology and information security issues.
  • Provide support as a key contact for issue management across PayPal business units.
  • Collaborate with business partners, source system liaisons, technology partners, and information security subject matter experts to identify, mitigate, and remediate issues.
  • Develop metrics and reporting capabilities to track issues.
  • Develop and evolve issue intake, reporting, monitoring, and validation capabilities through automation.
  • Advise IT and business executives on the status of current open/pending technology and information security issues.
  • Assist in company-wide technology and information security initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a closely related field.
  • Two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Application Security expertise.
  • Vulnerability Management experience.
  • Data reporting and visualization skills with Microsoft Platforms.
  • Network Security knowledge.
  • Endpoint Security experience.
  • Data Loss Prevention skills.
  • Access/Identity Management experience.
  • Enterprise Risk Management knowledge.
  • Infrastructure Hardening experience.
  • Security certifications such as GIAC Certified Web Application Defender (GWEB) and CompTIA Security+.
