About the position

The Information Security Analyst position at Deutsche Bank, operating as an Assistant Vice President, is focused on supporting the development, execution, and maintenance of the bank's information security strategy and program. This role is integral to the Chief Security Office's Third Party Security team, ensuring alignment with the Third Party Risk Management program. The analyst will conduct risk assessments, review third-party security policies, and provide remediation recommendations to enhance the bank's security posture.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Information Security Third Party risk assessments as part of the overall Third-Party Risk Management process, including onsite visits and reviews at Third Parties.
  • Review Third Party policies and evidence related to Information Security, and track Third Party and services while escalating issues when necessary.
  • Formulate remediation recommendations and work with Third Parties and project managers to resolve Information Security related findings.
  • Support and coordinate Third Party Information Security Review processes, negotiate with Third Parties, business units, and legal teams on contractual security obligations.
  • Provide constant communication with stakeholders and document/present information security risks clearly at various management levels.
  • Provide response and necessary artifacts for Regulatory queries globally, and support the team to improve the overall security control framework.

Requirements

  • Overall experience in Information Technology (IT) Security and Information Security, including technical and organizational controls.
  • Experience with ISO27001 standard and current industry standards and frameworks such as NIST, ENISA, SOC2, PCI, and GDPR.
  • Knowledge of technical and organizational controls regarding Information Security and Risk Management principles.
  • General understanding of the banking/financial industry and the impact of security risks on institutions.
  • Understanding of financial regulations impacting information security, such as EU Cybersecurity Act and NYDFS.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite for reporting purposes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Experience with Shared Assessment Programs (e.g., SIG, FSQS).
  • Experience in Data Reporting including definition of metrics and data sources.
