About the position

As an Information Security Analyst at American Express, you will play a crucial role in the Cyber Data Active Intelligence program, focusing on the design and development of data delivery within the Information Security Data Warehouse ecosystem. This position requires collaboration with the Director of Cyber Data Active Intelligence, data architects, developers, and key partners to create robust and scalable data, metric, and reporting solutions. You will be part of a dedicated team that works closely with other Information Security teams to design, develop, and deliver new data sources, as well as develop analytics for both streaming and batch-based data sets. Your responsibilities will also include delivering reporting capabilities that meet the needs of the organization. The role demands a well-organized and committed individual who can prioritize daily tasks and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential, as you will need to articulate complex solutions clearly and effectively. You will be expected to thrive in an Agile development environment, demonstrating strong work prioritization, planning, and organizational skills. As a self-starter, you will be responsible for maintaining composure under time-sensitive deadlines and system issues, while collaborating effectively within a coordinated team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data delivery solutions within the Information Security Data Warehouse ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with data architects, developers, and key partners to create scalable data and reporting solutions.
  • Work with other Information Security teams to design and deliver new data sources.
  • Develop analytics for both streaming and batch-based data sets.
  • Deliver reporting capabilities that meet organizational needs.
  • Prioritize daily work and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience in SQL development using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Experience with database and query performance tuning, sizing, and optimization.
  • Solid experience in developing and supporting stored routines (procedures and functions).
  • Experience working with Business Intelligence tools, preferably Qlik.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to articulate solution alternatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in an Agile development environment (e.g., Scrum).
  • Strong work prioritization, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Information Security domain tools and technologies.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL Server query creation and analysis.
