About the position

Auria Space is seeking an Information Security Analyst to support the Data Transport Product Support Sustainment Logistics Maintenance (DSLM) contract in Colorado Springs, CO. This role involves designing, testing, and implementing secure operating systems and networks, leading risk assessments, and providing cybersecurity guidance. The analyst will work on maintaining multiple Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policies and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain multiple RMF packages and perform risk assessments across mission systems supporting the Data Transport and Receive Network (DTRN).
  • Serve as a cybersecurity expert leading and tasking Junior and Journeymen Information Security Analysts in effective RMF execution.
  • Develop and implement an Anti-virus/Malware identification process for checking in/out of SCN equipment.
  • Coordinate with Software Maintenance Action (SWMA) IA patching team and program office IA architecture team on an IA/Cybersecurity Roadmap.
  • Employ system security engineering to design, develop, and implement secure applications and configurations.
  • Evaluate COTS and GOTS hardware, firmware, and software information security components for IA-impacting projects.
  • Organize annual cybersecurity control validation within eMASS IAW DoDI 8510.01 and DoDI 8500.01.
  • Attend Technical Interchange Meetings to obtain cybersecurity community buy off.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards related to information security, privacy, and incident response.
  • Provide technical engineering services management for integrated security systems and solutions.
  • Monitor information systems for security-related events and assess cybersecurity configuration changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a related field.
  • 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor certification.
  • Experience with encryption and data analysis skills.
  • CompTIA CySA+ certification.
  • DoD experience in cybersecurity.
  • Experience with RMF and leadership in cybersecurity initiatives.

Nice-to-haves

  • DoD 8140 Cyber Defense Analyst or Vulnerability Analyst certification.
  • Intermediate qualification or certification (e.g., CISSO, CySA+, GPEN, CISA).
  • Experience with SCN and/or DoD.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity tools (e.g., eMASS, ACAS, ESS, SIEM, STIGs).
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasks.
