About the position

Oneida Professional Services (OPS) is actively seeking a highly motivated, full-time Information Security Analyst in Norfolk, VA (Hybrid). In this role, you will serve as a lead for the team responsible for the Information Assurance (IA) posture of networks and systems, supporting system certification and accreditation. Your primary responsibilities will include planning, implementing, upgrading, and monitoring security measures to protect computer networks, systems, and sensitive information. You will assess system vulnerabilities for security risks and propose and implement effective risk mitigation strategies. It is crucial to ensure that appropriate security controls are in place to safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure. Additionally, you will provide analysis, integration, testing, and maintenance of network systems, leading the development of system IA documentation to support compliance certification with applicable standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a lead for the team responsible for IA posture of networks and systems and support system certification and accreditation.
• Plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and systems.
• Assess system vulnerabilities for security risks and propose and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure appropriate security controls are in place to safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure.
• Provide analysis, integration, testing, and maintenance of network systems.
• Lead the development of system IA documentation to support certification of compliance to applicable standards.

Requirements

• 7 years of experience required.
• 5+ years of experience in all phases of IA and cybersecurity support of DoD Component Enterprise-wide IT systems.
• 5+ years of experience in practical computer security, including secure network and system design, analysis, procedure/test generation, test execution, and implementation of computer/network security mechanisms.
• Active Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM).
• Top Secret clearance required.
