About the position

The Information Security Analyst at Timber Products Company is responsible for providing IT support and ensuring the security of information systems across various sites. This role involves a combination of desktop support, help desk assistance, and the implementation of security measures to protect the company's data and infrastructure. The analyst will work closely with the corporate IT team and software vendors to enhance system security and support operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT support by solving Help Desk tickets for TP Trucking & Logistics.
• Coordinate testing and solutions with software vendors.
• Conduct business analysis and create business requirements.
• Lead software selection activities for new or replacement systems.
• Organize and participate in testing and training efforts.
• Create testing and training documentation.
• Provide Go-Live and Post-Go-Live support for system implementations.
• Provide conventional Desktop Support including hardware requisitions and installations.
• Troubleshoot existing hardware and assist with software installations.
• Provide emergency Help Desk support when required for the Enterprise.
• Maintain documentation associated with Help Desk tickets.
• Provide exceptional customer service for reported problems.
• Provide timely status reporting for ongoing projects.
• Offer on-call support for emergency needs.

Requirements

• 4 years' experience in Information Security or a comparable position.
• Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working in the cyber security field.
• Possession of or progress towards Information Security related certification such as CISSP is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with maintaining and upgrading Information Security applications and solutions.
• Experience assisting with IT compliance audits and control frameworks.
• Knowledge of information risk concepts and their relation to business needs.
• Understanding of network infrastructure and operating system security best practices.
