About the position

Modis currently has a contract opportunity for an Information Security Analyst job in Boca Raton, FL. Our client is an innovative leader combining the best of both the government and business worlds. This position is crucial for maintaining the security posture of the organization by focusing on the identification, tracking, and lifecycle management of vulnerabilities. The Information Security Analyst will ensure that vulnerabilities are prioritized and remediated by the appropriate operations team, requiring effective communication and collaboration across various departments. The role involves day-to-day information security operational functions, including real-time monitoring, analysis, and resolution of security events from multiple sources. The analyst will manage and maintain Tripwire in the File Integrity Management system, which is essential for monitoring and protecting sensitive data. The vulnerability management process encompasses data, application, and infrastructure vulnerabilities, facilitated by a combination of manual processes and vulnerability management tools. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for creating vulnerability management reports on a regular basis and presenting this information to diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical. This role requires a mid-level knowledge of monitoring security by analyzing IPS reports, firewall logs, vulnerability alert systems, and patch levels of operating systems, databases, and application frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day information security operational functions.
• Real-time monitoring, analysis, and resolution of security events from multiple sources.
• Manage and maintain Tripwire in the File Integrity Management system.
• Facilitate the vulnerability management process for data, application, and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
• Ensure vulnerabilities are prioritized and remediated by the appropriate operations team.
• Create vulnerability management reports and present information to various audiences.
• Analyze IPS reports, firewall logs, vulnerability alert systems, and patch levels.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Information Security experience or related field.
• Strong working level knowledge of Tripwire File Integrity Monitoring.
• Experience producing threat and compliance reports for a wide variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical.

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of experience in compliance, auditing, risk assessment, and vulnerability mitigation and remediation.
• Knowledge of security best practices (e.g., NIST series) and industry security standards (e.g., PCI-DSS or HIPAA).
• Working level knowledge using Log Management Tools similar to IBM QRadar.
• Working level knowledge using Security Information and Event Management Tools like IBM QRadar.
