About the position

MILVETS Systems Technology, Inc. is seeking a full-time Information Security Analyst Journeyman to enhance the security of computer networks and information systems. The role involves planning, implementing, and monitoring security measures, responding to security breaches, and conducting audits to ensure compliance with regulations. The position requires a minimum of three years of experience in the field and offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment focused on information assurance and cybersecurity solutions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information.
• Ensure appropriate security controls are in place to safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure.
• Respond to computer security breaches and viruses.
• Perform security and risk management audits.
• Recommend information assurance (IA)/security solutions to support customers' requirements.
• Identify, report, and resolve cyber security violations.
• Design, develop, engineer, and implement solutions that meet security requirements.
• Provide integration and implementation of the computer system security solution.
• Analyze general IA and cyber security-related technical problems and provide basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems.
• Perform vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.
• Ensure the risk analysis is consistent with applicable regulations and policies, supporting internal or external compliance.
• Manage multiple concurrent project tasks, develop schedules, and formulate plans and milestones.
• Draft correspondence, reports, white papers, minutes, spreadsheets, communications products, briefs, and other documentation as needed.
• Identify and develop methods, plans, and documents to streamline operating procedures, reports, and systems to improve operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in related field.
• Bachelor's or associate degree in related field or Information Technology (IT) Certification.
• DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification IAT Level II (e.g., CompTIA Sec+).
• Active United States Department of Defense Secret clearance.
