About the position

Amentum is seeking several Junior Information Security Analysts to support the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services office at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, and Ft Belvoir, VA. This role is crucial in providing comprehensive support to the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) and its associated managers and customers. The project encompasses a wide range of services, including programmatic and business management, engineering support, field engineering, laboratory services, logistics, and administrative support, all aimed at augmenting the core government personnel within CSIA. The successful candidate will work closely with government project leads to ensure the security and integrity of information systems and data against potential threats. In this position, the analyst will be responsible for creating and implementing security policies and protocols, monitoring networks for suspicious activities, and responding to security breaches. The role involves assessing information risk and facilitating the remediation of identified vulnerabilities across the enterprise. The analyst will present security information to both workforce and management, compile management reports, and conduct detailed presentations that describe risk, controls, and maturity assessments. Additionally, the analyst will manage and maintain a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system and a Threat and Incident Response Program, contributing to the development of business-specific risk and compliance reporting. The analyst will also coordinate research initiatives on industry trends, technology, and information security approaches, assist with demand management responsibilities of security consulting teams, and define the Information Security aspects of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools and processes. The role requires managing security incidents, conducting investigations, and reporting findings, along with other duties as assigned. This position is contingent upon the award of the project.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of company information and data from threats.

• Define and maintain Information Security aspects of GRC tool and process requirements.
• Manage security incidents, investigations, and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information assurance, information security, or cyber security.
• Detailed understanding of multiple security assessment applications and ability to create applications when necessary.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and conducting hands-on security assessments.
• Experience with networking, Linux, virtual machines, and software/scripting development.
• Confirmation of training conducted with CDS Raise the Bar (RTB) requirements.
• Experience on a LDS team that conducted a Raise the Bar (RTB) compliant project.
• Professionally recognized cybersecurity certification in a DoD Directive 8140, specifically OSCP or OSCE.
• Minimum of IAT Level II, IAM Level I, or IASAE Level I for CDS job categories.
• Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance.
