About the position

The Information Security Analyst position at Sangoma is focused on maintaining the security and reliability of the company's global network. The role involves responding to network incidents, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring the integrity of systems through monitoring and vulnerability management. The analyst will work closely with network engineering vendors and play a key role in network planning and design, contributing to the overall security posture of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Respond to network incidents and resolve issues in real-time.
• Partner with other departments to tackle escalated security and network challenges.
• Guide and collaborate with network engineering vendors and consultants.
• Play a key role in network planning and design to support business needs.
• Build strong relationships with Internet carriers and vendors.
• Monitor systems for security issues and investigate operational impacts.
• Use and maintain software to protect information and system function.
• Check for vulnerabilities in systems.
• Provide detailed after-action reports and summaries.
• Coordinate the dispatch of technicians and engineers.
• Be a reliable resource during escalations, responding quickly via various communication methods.
• Rotate after-hours on-call duties with the team.
• Design and maintain network systems for reliability and security.
• Recommend system enhancements.

Requirements

• Experience with vulnerability management and discovery tools (e.g., Tenable, Qualys, Kali Linux, Metasploit).
• Knowledge of operating systems to assist operational teams with vulnerability management and post-incident investigation.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in security, networking, and tooling/automation.
• Familiarity with consuming data from various sources such as logs and external threat intelligence.
