The Information Security Analyst will serve as an on-site advanced security specialist for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This role is pivotal in orchestrating day-to-day client delivery for the Information Safeguards Division, ensuring that security protocols are adhered to and that the agency's information is safeguarded against potential threats. The analyst will be responsible for providing a direct interface with clients and will report to both clients and senior contractor team leadership. A collaborative team environment is essential, and the analyst must be capable of working effectively within this framework. Key responsibilities include performing reviews of draft Preliminary Inquiries and recommending necessary document corrections to the Inquiry Official. The analyst will coordinate with the MDA Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Classification Management for any reported network spillages, ensuring that incidents are managed promptly and effectively. Additionally, the analyst will conduct Newcomer Orientation Briefings, assist in managing and providing support to Security Managers as part of the Agency Security Manager program, and coordinate Quarterly Security Manager meetings. The role also involves scheduling and performing Information Security Reviews (IPRs) of program areas, drafting memoranda for IPR results, and maintaining metrics to produce monthly and annual Security Incident status reports. The analyst will perform Document Marking Classification Reviews and document these reviews using the appropriate forms. Furthermore, the analyst will draft INFOSEC-related Communication Round Table announcements and manage the Agency Top Secret Control Program, updating task databases and file system folders as necessary. The position requires a proactive approach to maintaining security metrics and producing reports that reflect the status of various security initiatives.
