About the position

The Information Security Analyst at Farmers and Merchants Bank of Long Beach is responsible for configuring, administering, and monitoring information security controls. This role assists the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) with risk assessment activities, implements security controls, and documents the results of these activities while executing the Information Security Program. The analyst also supports incident response and may be required to provide after-hours support for production issues related to security controls.

Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, and monitor information security controls.
• Assist the CISO with risk assessment activities and selecting security controls.
• Document activities in logs, reports, and management systems.
• Participate in research and development of security technologies.
• Provide on-call support for end-user issues after hours.
• Comply with State and Federal Banking regulatory requirements.
• Elevate suspicious activity to supervisory staff or BSA department.
• Automate security activities and data analysis using scripting languages.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of applicable security and system administration experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent required.
• Understanding of information security concepts and domains.
• Experience administering server or network systems.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory access rights and user provisioning.

Nice-to-haves

• Certifications such as GIAC, ISC2, CompTIA preferred.
• Experience with security technologies like firewalls and IDS/IPS.
• Exposure to log/packet capturing and decoding of attack signatures.
