About the position

The Information Security Analyst position at Tekcogno is a mid-level role focused on enhancing cybersecurity measures within the organization. The analyst will serve as a subject matter expert in endpoint and network security technologies, contributing to threat intelligence and security education programs. This role is critical in ensuring the security of information systems and compliance with security measures, ultimately supporting the organization's mission to provide reliable services to its users.

Responsibilities

• Implement data security measures.
• Monitor networks and user access.
• Perform vulnerability and risk assessments.
• Respond to security breaches.
• Perform security updates.
• Mitigate the effects of security breaches.
• Assist in modifying existing Security Tools, Reports, KPIs.
• Ensure employee compliance with security measures.
• Assist with preventative and emergency maintenance.
• Create a risk management plan.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in information security.
• CISSP, CEH, or Risk Management Certification preferred.
• Experience in security systems, technology, endpoint, and vulnerability tools.
• Knowledge of risk management principles and information security technology.
• Experience with network administration.
• Strong analytical and technical skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Hands-on experience with security tools such as Varonis, Mimecast, Sentinel One, Secret Server, Darktrace, and Absolute.
• Experience in evaluating and monitoring compliance with IT security policies.
• Familiarity with Cloud-based knowledge management technologies.
• Knowledge of PCI, PII, and PHI data security standards.
