About the position

Our client has just acquired a company that they are currently integrating into their environment. With this, they need to add a security analyst to the existing team. The primary responsibility of this role is to design, implement, and monitor security systems to protect the company and its computer networks from cyber-attacks. The security analyst will help set and maintain security standards, which includes securing both online and on-premises infrastructure. This role involves filtering out suspicious activity and finding and mitigating security risks before any security incidents can occur. The security analyst will work across the entire organization to identify and correct flaws in the security systems while monitoring security tooling for signs of possible events that could lead to incidents. This position is crucial in ensuring the integrity and security of the company's data and systems, especially during the integration of the newly acquired company. The analyst will collaborate with various teams to enhance the overall security posture of the organization and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and monitor security systems to protect the company and computer networks from cyber-attacks.
  • Set and maintain security standards for online and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Filter out suspicious activity and mitigate security risks before incidents occur.
  • Work across the organization to identify and correct flaws in security systems.
  • Monitor security tooling for signs of possible events leading to incidents.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of security analytics experience.
  • Strong security operations background designing, implementing, and monitoring all company/computer network systems.
  • Strong networking experience with the ability to analyze enterprise network diagrams.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft technology stacks including Active Directory, Windows, and Azure.
  • Experience with Kali Linux.
  • Knowledge of Unix and Linux encryption technologies.
  • Familiarity with SSL VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with tools such as Rapid7, Splunk, and Nmap.
  • Experience in the government to aerospace industry.
