About the position

The Information Security Analyst at Amalgamated Bank is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of financial information systems. This role involves protecting sensitive customer data, maintaining regulatory compliance, and responding to emerging cyber threats specific to the banking industry. The analyst will conduct risk assessments, lead incident response efforts, and implement security measures to safeguard the bank's operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and prioritize potential security risks.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies tailored to the unique challenges of the banking sector.
• Lead and coordinate incident response efforts in the event of a security breach.
• Investigate security incidents, analyze root causes, and implement preventive measures.
• Design and deliver specialized security awareness training programs for bank employees.
• Implement and monitor fraud prevention measures to safeguard customer accounts and financial transactions.
• Evaluate and manage the security practices of third-party vendors providing services to the bank.
• Coordinate and participate in regulatory audits related to information security.
• Prepare and submit reports on the bank's security posture to regulatory authorities.
• Work closely with IT teams to design and implement secure architecture for banking systems.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions relevant to the financial sector.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in Access Administration in a Financial Services Organization.
• Experienced in roles based access control on banking systems.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification (or in progress).
• Experience in information security roles within the banking industry.
• Understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
