About the position

The Security Analyst is a key member of the Security Operations team at eHealthInsurance, responsible for monitoring and responding to security alerts and events. This role involves researching and analyzing threat intelligence, conducting vulnerability impact assessments, and managing security incidents. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong analytical and research skills, as well as a solid understanding of information security concepts, tools, and technologies. Collaboration skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in cross-functional environments are essential for success in this position. In this role, the Security Analyst will install and configure security measures, operate security software, and test and evaluate new technology. They will perform penetration testing and security preparedness exercises, analyze IT requirements, and provide objective advice on the use of IT security requirements. Monitoring and analyzing security alerts from the SIEM system is a critical responsibility, as is the ability to respond effectively to information security threats. The position is fully remote, but candidates must reside in the US and ideally be available to work during EST business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure security measures and operate security software

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in information security
  • Experienced with penetration testing and techniques
  • Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities
  • Understand patch management
  • Knowledge of firewalls, antivirus, DLP, CASB, EDR, Anti-Phishing and IDP/S technologies
  • Experience with IAMS & AWS
  • Knowledge of Linux, Windows and MAC OS
  • Experienced in troubleshooting security software and documenting security issues
  • Experience with SIEM systems and threat hunting
