About the position

The Department of Economic Security (DES) is looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Information Security Analyst. This position is responsible for testing, implementation, and directing potential upgrades and improvements to the Appellate Processing System (APS). The individual will act as a liaison between the development team and Appellate Service Administration (ASA) and Office of the Inspector General (OIG) leadership regarding changes to the system. The position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based on the department's needs and performance measures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and test the Appellate Processing System (APS) for potential flaws.
  • Generate and track testing mechanisms to ensure system stability.
  • Provide support and maintenance of APS, including modifying system assets and access.
  • Perform fault isolation by validating, isolating, and correcting faults.
  • Monitor logs and manage user accounts.
  • Facilitate meetings between Division of Technology Services and OIG leadership.
  • Create training materials, operational manuals, and produce ad-hoc reports as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree plus 1 - 3 years of experience in information security analysis (or equivalent experience).
  • General knowledge of information security technologies in risk assessment, compliance, and vulnerability management.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace Applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, JavaScript (ES6), and CSS.
  • Experience with advanced SQL and relational databases.
