About the position

The Information Security Analyst I at PacificSource plays a crucial role in safeguarding the organization's information systems and data from unauthorized access and threats. This position involves monitoring security incidents, conducting vulnerability assessments, and supporting the implementation of security controls to maintain compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure security operations meet business needs and adapt to evolving threats.
  • Identify, investigate, and respond to security incidents, coordinating resources and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Create, maintain, and train stakeholders on security incident response protocols.
  • Enhance the Information Security Program by improving security operations and controls.
  • Audit security controls and validate the effectiveness of existing measures.
  • Stay updated on current attack methods to identify threats and advise on prevention and remediation strategies.
  • Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining technical security programs.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the security culture and posture at PacificSource.
  • Collaborate with other departments to promote a strong security culture.
  • Remain informed on industry best practices and emerging threats.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in information security or a related IT field.
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience) required.
  • Relevant IT security certifications or accreditations are preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in security operations, insider threat programs, and incident response.
  • Knowledge of vulnerability and patch management, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems, and Endpoint Detection and Response technologies.
  • Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technologies and Indicators of Compromise (IoC).
  • Experience with HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, and PCI compliance.
