About the position

It's an exciting time to be a member of the Fisher Investments Technology Department! We're investing in the future of our firm's technology and are building our team to achieve global growth. We are looking for an Information Security Data and Analytics Analyst to support our Cyber Security Data and Analytics team. The analyst works on all levels of the data and analytics environment and is responsible for research and requirements gathering, integration, ETL, data management, and creation of the visualization of metrics on the front end, and helping managers think about and present data metrics in new ways. You will report to the VP of InfoSec. In your day-to-day role, you will create metrics and reporting for the highest level of management across all departments. You will help, with metric reporting, to guide strategic risk decisions at the highest of levels. Working closely with the Information Security Data and Analytics Program Manager, you will create and maintain Information Security supplied risk metrics to stakeholders. You will be responsible for requirements gathering both in and out of the Information Security department and help develop and implement proposed solutions to improve the efficiency of the security and technology controls and initiatives. Additionally, you will identify potential process improvements and recommend solutions to management. Your responsibilities will also include implementing ETL processes from various data sources and automating these processes using various technologies such as scripts, Mulesoft, stored procedures, and more. You will create the visualization layer in Tableau and PowerBI and reload data from various sources into the Data & Analytics environment on a Monthly/Quarterly/Annual basis. Additional responsibilities may include providing recommendations to management to improve our Information Security risk posture, running statistical analytics and predictive models to find new opportunities or efficiency improvements, and creating reporting to monitor these results. You will also design and analyze tests and programs.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5 years (minimum) experience in the field of Data and Analytics
  • If total operational D&A experience is less than 5 years, 5+ years in an area of statistical analysis, data management or reporting and reporting tools sets
  • Technical experience in SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, Mulesoft and ETL processes
  • Experience working as part of a Scrum team in an Agile environment
  • Experience in a regulated industry such as Finance or Healthcare
  • Demonstrated skills in creativity, teamwork, and attention to detail
  • Strong research skills and statistical knowledge
  • Demonstrated risk assessment experience in IT or IS
