About the position

The Information Security Director at EarthCam is responsible for leading the company's information security initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and developing a comprehensive security program. This role involves implementing security frameworks, managing security risks, and fostering a culture of security awareness within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and oversee strategies to assess and mitigate risk, safeguarding the corporation and its assets.
  • Lead the initiative to implement security frameworks such as FedRAMP and NIST, creating necessary documentation, policies, procedures, and change controls.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as PCI and GDPR.
  • Build a comprehensive security program that includes physical safety and cybersecurity policies.
  • Review existing security measures and update protocols as needed.
  • Oversee daily operations to identify potential security risks and areas for improvement.
  • Foster a culture of security awareness by conducting training sessions and communicating with personnel.
  • Manage, evaluate, and resolve any physical or digital security incidents or breaches.
  • Ensure compliance of the company's security policies with federal laws and legislation.
  • Present risk assessments and improved security policies to management team members.
  • Work with management to develop and implement an appropriate budget for security programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in safety management, information technology systems, or a similar field.
  • At least 10 years' experience working as a security manager.
  • Excellent knowledge of state and federal information security laws.
  • Proven proficiency in developing physical and digital security protocols and procedures.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional managerial skills and the ability to lead a team.
  • Proficiency in information management systems and knowledge of cybersecurity.
  • Ability to research and stay up to date with security trends and changing government and state laws.

  • Experience with project management software.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
