About the position

The Information Security Engineer, Lead at Booz Allen Hamilton is responsible for developing and implementing cybersecurity solutions across various domains including vulnerability management, network security, application security, and database security. This role involves interfacing with senior client management and leading a team of over 15 technical staff on a large cybersecurity contract. The engineer will oversee multiple work assignments, ensuring high-quality outcomes while establishing and meeting deadlines, and adapting to changing client environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of cybersecurity solutions in various domains.
  • Interface with senior client management and day-to-day client staff.
  • Lead a team of over 15 technical staff on a large cybersecurity contract.
  • Oversee and manage multiple simultaneous work assignments with high quality.
  • Establish goals and deadlines considering team skillsets and resources.
  • Collaborate with senior program leadership and program management team.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in supervising program or project operations.
  • 4+ years of experience in building and administering Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Experience as a technical lead overseeing large teams.
  • Experience with public Cloud services providers, including AWS or Microsoft Azure.
  • Knowledge of Federal compliance standards, including NIST 800-53, FIPS, and FedRAMP.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts and DNS.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or Telecommunications and 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or security operations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • SANS GIAC Security Certification, ISC2 CISSP, or Security Systems Vendor Administration-level Certification.
