About the position

Cintas is currently seeking an IT Security Engineer-Level 2 to join our IT Security Team. This role is pivotal in enhancing our information systems security and monitoring capabilities. The IT Security Engineer-Level 2 will be responsible for researching, recommending, and implementing changes that bolster our security posture. This includes engineering solutions to mitigate control gaps, presenting these solutions to IT management, and coordinating with vendors for proof-of-concept, proof-of-value, and pilot exercises. In this position, the engineer will review information systems to identify potential security weaknesses and recommend improvements to reduce vulnerabilities. The role also involves participating in an on-call rotation to triage any potential security incidents and engaging in network and systems design to ensure the implementation of appropriate security policies. The engineer will be expected to maintain and grow their knowledge of information security, risk management, and regulatory compliance topics, providing occasional after-hours and weekend support for project efforts. Additionally, this role includes mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with various Cintas partners to design, build, and deploy security frameworks.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related IT area preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Information Security.
• Strong knowledge of cyber security practices and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of networking and infrastructure best practices.
• Ability to act as the primary SME for Cloud Security.
• Strong working knowledge of the CSF Framework.
• Strong working knowledge of GCP, GCVE required; Azure preferred.
