About the position

The Information Security Officer (ISO) at Banesco USA is responsible for managing the Information Security Program, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization's information systems. This role involves developing and maintaining security policies, overseeing incident response activities, managing physical security systems, and ensuring compliance with security regulations. The ISO will also provide training to employees on security practices and collaborate with various departments to enhance the organization's security posture.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Information Security Program, including policies, procedures, and technical systems.
• Develop and maintain security policies related to infrastructure and applications.
• Approve access requests and changes to information technology systems.
• Lead incident response activities and coordinate with law enforcement as necessary.
• Oversee physical security systems, including alarms and video recording systems.
• Conduct security audits and continuous monitoring of IT security controls.
• Coordinate annual Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Continuity Management (BCM) testing.
• Evaluate vendor security and ensure compliance with security regulations.
• Provide training on security policies and maintain awareness of security risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
• Ten years of experience in the Banking industry in the Information Security unit.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in managing physical and logical information security systems.
• Strong analytical skills to detect weaknesses in systems.
• Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance.
