About the position

The Information Security Officer (ISO) at Citizens Bank is responsible for overseeing and managing information security risks across the institution. This role involves ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, developing security policies, and managing third-party risk. The ISO will work closely with various departments and report to the Board of Directors on security matters, ensuring that employees are educated on security risks and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the organization's Information Security and Third Party Risk Management Programs.
  • Ensure the Bank's information security practices comply with laws and industry best practices.
  • Oversee outsourced penetration testing and collaborate with IT to improve security.
  • Perform risk assessments and provide education to employees and the Board of Directors.
  • Manage security training modules and monitor phishing testing.
  • Update Information Security Program and Risk Assessment for Board review.
  • Assist IT Manager with policy reviews and updates.
  • Review vendor SOC Assessments and work with Compliance on risk assessments.
  • Present information security items to the Board Technology Committee quarterly.
  • Manage vendor contracts and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
  • Third Party Risk Management experience; CTPRP or similar certification preferred.
  • Project Management background or skills.
  • Strong knowledge of banking policies and procedures.
  • Experience in a highly regulated work environment.
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • CISSP, CISA, CISM, CISO or similar certification.
  • Experience with general office equipment.
