About the position

Rothe is seeking an experienced senior information security policy analyst to join our cybersecurity compliance team supporting our Nation's ballistic missile defense program. This position is critical in ensuring that our cybersecurity policies and processes align with national standards and effectively protect sensitive information. The individual will provide senior technical support in the review, analysis, and development of cybersecurity processes, policy, doctrine, directives, regulations, and implementation instructions. This role requires a deep understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the ability to develop and maintain RMF assessment procedures and standards. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations and best practices, contributing to the overall security posture of the organization. In addition to technical expertise, the analyst will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews of existing policies and making recommendations for improvements. This includes analyzing current cybersecurity practices, identifying gaps, and proposing solutions to enhance security measures. The analyst will also play a key role in training and guiding junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of security awareness within the organization. The position is based in Colorado Springs (Schriever SFB), and the candidate will be expected to collaborate with other team members and departments to achieve compliance goals and support the mission of the ballistic missile defense program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior technical support in the review, analysis, and development of cybersecurity processes, policy, doctrine, directives, regulations, and implementation instructions.
  • Develop and maintain risk management framework (RMF) assessment procedures and standards.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of existing cybersecurity policies and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Analyze current cybersecurity practices, identify gaps, and propose solutions to enhance security measures.
  • Train and guide junior team members on cybersecurity best practices and policies.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations and best practices.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in information security or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Senior Cybersecurity certification (DoD IAT Level III): CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH.
  • Proficient in technical services and analysis with knowledge of cybersecurity standards, principles, practices, and processes.
  • Experience providing cybersecurity policy development, review, and analysis support.
